Research

Inform. Impact. Inspire.

At PsyFit, our specific research focus area includes examining how the behaviors of players outside of the game impacts their performance and risks of injury during the game. While many organizations focus their sports-related brain injury research from a medical perspective, our goal is to approach research from a behavioral standpoint.

Our goal is to build a body of research to:

  • Inform the sports community of potential behavioral triggers that lead to injury

  • Impact athletes, and their families, by disseminating evidence-based information on how to minimize behaviors that trigger brain-related injuries

  • Inspire a movement that leads to better mental and physical health and wellness among athletes

“Athletes experience many losses and injuries that most people don’t understand.  The injuries that they suffer and how it impacts the family is often times overlooked because of the glitter and glamour of the game.  My goal is to improve the mental, physical and emotional health of all the athletes that we serve.”
