PsyFit is committed to building the knowledge of young athletes interested in mental health and behavioral awareness, and empowering athletes who have overcome brain injuries through various education and program offerings.
High School Sports Leadership Program
In 2020, the first cohort of high school seniors will participate in a seven-day conference in downtown Houston where they will learn about mental wellness, Physical wellness, Financial wellness, Sports Management/Operations, Sports Rules & regulations to include protocol, etc. The program participants will receive one college credit hour.
Christopher H. Williams Scholarship
The Christopher H. Williams Scholarship was created in tribute to lifelong athlete Chris Williams who passed away in 2017 due to complications from sports-related brain injuries. The Scholarship provides financial support for student-athletes looking to attend two or four-year colleges.
